Easter Sunday... What Easter Sunday?

With the Holy Bible as our only source of inspiration and guidance, we find in the Holy Book that truly, Jesus Christ was resurrected on the first day of the week, i.e. Sunday (ref: Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:2,9; Luke 24:1; John 20:1,19) and yes, the day is worthy of celebration by all true Christians. (ref: 1 Corinthians 15).

However, as far as the New Order Christian Outreach Ministries (Nocomin) is concerned, yes, we do celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, but on a Sunday that we call, "RESURRECTION SUNDAY" instead of the publicly/lavishly celebrated 'Easter Sunday'.

Why?

Historians point out that in the olden days, in order to make Christianity attractive to unbelievers and 'misbelievers', the early Roman Catholic Church tactically mixed the celebration of Jesus Christ's resurrection with celebrations of existing 'paganistic' spring fertility rituals where fornication and adultery 'officially' reigned supreme! These rituals now form the basis of the egg and bunny traditions being practised today as the fun-filled materialistic Easter celebrations!

So, the next time you celebrate and enjoy yourself on "RESURRECTION SUNDAY", please remember that this is a time for sober reflection by all true Christians.

BUT THEN... ARE YOU A TRUE CHRISTIAN?
